Well, I must say that I've run 5K plenty of times back in my running heyday, but you sure look a lot better than I usually did at the end. Way to go- you're an inspiration for sure. I long to return to my running physique but the first steps are the most daunting. Your step-by-step process is definitely the way to go. So, hopefully you and I will one day be able to run a 5K (or 10K!) and then celebrate with a bungee jump!!! What do you think?

Beloved Champion,

Ponytail swinging, ear to ear grinning, fist pumping, finish line stomping CHAMP! Oh yes, I have seen this before in another era, not yet full grown, the grin or the girl. It is an indescribable pleasure to see it here.

I'm cyber café hooked up in beautiful downtown Lumbumbashi, where a road race involves circumnavigating the cavernous holes of what could be a recent battlefield. Tires thumping over heaps of corpses in my shaken and stirred mind, I endure this lack of road maintanence ill-disguised horror.

Winging my way your way, following you, in flight and then, I hope, as new home owner, and finally, as road race queen.

May your fine example inspire us all.
