C’mon…

Tina, my current yoguru, teaches Ananda yoga affirmations with the poses. In balasana, I’m supposed to “relax from outer involvement into my inner haven of peace.” It’s more like I curl up inside my tortoise shell and hide from the scary world. Anyway, it’s a great stretch and it never fails to calm me out of a panic.

I had the privilege of captioning at least one episode of each of your TV picks – except Northern Exposure, which would certainly make my list if this were the meme of sixes.

And from Bologna, we went to Venice! As I was reading the Venice entry in Salon’s summer reading guide just now, I shivered (and it’s, like, 95 degrees here!) to recall the ineffable sensation of standing in a misty piazza in the ancient Jewish ghetto. I hope you have crazy good memories of our travels together in Italy.
