Ok, everyone! Now I'm having a burning desire to watch Northern Exposure again. It was truly one of the most original and thoughtful series on television. Characters from the show used to regularly make their way into my dreams...lately I've been thinking about the episode that featured the mysterious Northern Lights. I feel I cannot leave this world without going to Alaska (hear Fairbanks is a good viewing area) and seeing the Aurora Borealis for myself! I guess what I'm trying to say is, would anyone like to go on an Alaskan Northern Lights vacation with me??? Complete with sub-zero temps and sitting in the dark waiting for a storm that may or may not happen that night? So, my KT, who is pathetic?? P.S. Chris and Ed are dreamboats. And I want to be like Maggie O'Connell someday.

Toshski, count me in on the northern lights trip. Thats something I've always wanted to do but have just been missing a spark to set a plan in motion. Seriously, lets make this happen as soon as this fall! All right people, who else is in???

Yes, I also viewed the newly released DVD of the entire first season of Northern Exposure this week, and I must say that I was terribly disappointed to discover that it's comprised of only 8 episodes. It was a great walk down memory lane, however; many of those characters have a special place in my heart. I forgot how much I loved the theme song/music - boy, now that took me back.

There is absolutely nothing pathetic about Ed and Chris; I'm in love with both of them too. You just have exceptionally fine taste.

Fine taste indeed, Aunt Mary. What is tre pathetic however, is watching the entire first season and its bonus material all in one sitting. Somebody needs to teach this NX fan a little restraint. Perhaps I'd even find a little more enjoyment from savoring all my favorites over days or even weeks instead of a few very intense hours?
